The hamlet was reportedly targeted by militants on Sunday, around 54 kilometers from Damaturu, the capital of Yobe State.

Reports state that the terrorists also took food and cattle from the local population.

“Overnight, Boko Haram terrorists attacked my hometown,” a person who spoke to Sahara Reporters about the incident claimed.

In addition to the removal of food and cattle, three troops were slain. However, the source claimed that the army had seized three vehicles from the militants.

The locals also reported that the terrorists entered the neighborhood at approximately 11 p.m. on Sunday, April 20, and raided the area until 4 a.m. the following day.

Buni Yadi has been the target of multiple terrorist assaults, including the well-known one in which the assailants broke into a government secondary school.

In this specific attack, the attackers abducted more than 200 pupils.
