Recent events within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), such as the resignation of House of Representatives member Wole Oke, have prompted a response from Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke.
Adeleke reportedly told the people that he was committed to the growth of the state and the distribution of democratic dividends, even if he acknowledged that certain party members were working against his reelection effort.
Assuring party members that the PDP has not lost any true followers, the governor attempted to ease tensions surrounding Oke’s resignation in a statement released by his spokesperson, Olawale Rasheed.
“We are aware of how we arrived at Government House and who God used to enable it,” the statement says. Those who worked to stop us, whether overtly or covertly, are known to us. Additionally, we are aware of individuals who once opposed us but have since adopted our motto of good governance.
In spite of the opposition, Governor Adeleke underlined, his administration has gained more support and a wider base, particularly as a result of the defection of several members from other parties.
“Our hard work has brought us more allies, partners, and good-willed men from all parties,” he continued.
Adeleke emphasized the inclusiveness of his administration, claiming that it serves all Osun State federal constituencies.
He emphasized how well his cabinet represented a range of constituents and how development projects were distributed fairly throughout the state.
All federal constituencies receive equitable treatment from our government. In my cabinet, a specific federal constituency has three important portfolios. The state as a whole benefits from our infrastructure plan. “Our local content programs provide opportunities to everyone,” he stated, reaffirming his dedication to leading a government that genuinely serves all Osun citizens.

The governor also spoke about the persistent problems in the local government system and internal party obstacles.
Reiterating the significance of grassroots mobilization for the PDP’s triumph in the next election, he expressed optimism that the legal system will quickly resolve the face-off.
“We must stay focused on grassroots mobilization and minimize distractions. Adeleke said, “We will soon resolve the face-off within the local government system within the framework of the rule of law.”
In his remarks, Adeleke thanked the people and organizations who supported him for a second term for their devotion to the PDP.
