In relation to Joseph Isaac Fada, a filling station employee, who was allegedly tortured and killed, the Nigerian Police Force in Kaduna State has detained two members of the Nigerian Air Force and two civilians.
Zagazola Makama claims that the instance, which took place on April 30, 2025, has provoked public indignation due to claims of extrajudicial treatment and power abuse by security officials.
Amina Abdurrazaq, 40, the manager of Albash Filling Station, which is situated along Airport Road in Kaduna, reported a case of criminal misappropriation involving 28-year-old Fada, according to police sources.

He was turned over to questioning staff at a nearby military checkpoint run by the Nigerian Air Force’s 413 Force Protection Group after she accused him of embezzling ₦335,522 from gasoline sales.

According to sources, Air Force troops allegedly mistreated Fada until he passed out while he was being held overnight. He was subsequently treated at a patent medicine store, where it is said that he passed away.

Among the people detained is Maryam, 51, the proprietor of the medicament store.

Amina Abdurrazaq, the station manager, the pharmaceutical shop operator, and Air Force troops Sgt. Achibong Friday Udoh and LCPL Ayodele Glory Blessing were arrested after the case was moved from the Airport Division to the state police headquarters.

The body of the deceased has been placed for autopsy, according to the police, and investigations are still on to ascertain each suspect’s degree of involvement.
