According to Abdullahi Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), the primary opposition party, is “gasping for breath” as a result of the ruling party’s performance and political acumen.
Speaking Thursday at the APC National Summit held at the Presidential Villa in Abuja, Ganduje said he was confident the APC would win the next election in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
He ascribed this to the party’s efficacy and political strategy, implying that the APC was adequately equipped for the election.

In his discussion of the PDP’s current problems, Ganduje blamed internal infighting and defections for the party’s deteriorating standing.

He emphasized how important these defections are, suggesting that the APC’s expanding membership base is a reflection of the discontent with the PDP’s internal conflicts and leadership issues.

The APC chairman cited the party’s political strength as seen by its achievement in winning 22 of Nigeria’s 36 states. In addition, Ganduje disclosed that another governor was anticipated to join the APC shortly, highlighting the party’s growing power.

Speaking about the APC’s future plans, Ganduje mentioned the party’s recent off-cycle election triumph as a sign of things to come.

According to him, the APC was already getting preparations for the next elections in Anambra State and other states, setting itself up for more victories in the general elections in 2027.
