Following Abdullahi Ganduje’s abrupt resignation as the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, a new scandal has emerged. Buba Galadima, a close friend of Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has stated that there is more to the political realignment than first appears.
While Galadima was not formally notified of Kwankwaso’s intentions to defect to the APC, he was aware of a high-level meeting that purportedly sealed Ganduje’s and possibly Vice President Kashim Shettima’s destiny, he stated in an interview with the Saturday Punch.
“The defection plan is unknown to me,” Galadima stated. But I am aware of Ganduje’s and Kwankwaso’s personal problems. My name is
well aware that the presidency and APC stakeholders met three days ago and decided that Ganduje and Shettima should be sacrificed in order to elect a new group of people to the party and government.
Ahead of 2027, the accusation has further muddled the political landscape, particularly since Shettima has up to now kept a low profile in the face of recent party reorganizations.

Saturday Punch contacted the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) for comment, but Ladipo Johnson, the party’s spokesperson, refused to provide a firm response.
“I am not aware of such a move, and at this time, I am unable to speak further on it,” Johnson stated.
