Tension in Nsukka as Lady Murdered by Male Partner in Hotel

A hotel in the Ibagwa Road Area of Nsukka, Enugu State, has been the scene of a suspected ritual murder.

The event happened over the weekend at the Madoka Hotel, which is situated in the University of Nigeria town of Nsukka at Obukpa Layout, on Ibagwa Road.

According to a source, the woman checked in with a young man the day before, not realizing that it was the last day of her life.

The young man reportedly stayed with a lady, according to social media accounts that went viral. However, when he emerged alone in the morning, hotel officials inquired about his female companion.

The informant said, “He informed them that the woman was a prostitute and that she had left earlier.”

“Being newly hired, the receptionists acted ignorantly, believing him even though they knew he was lying.”

But when the cleaners returned to the room a few minutes later, “they shockingly discovered that the lady had been murdered,” he continued.

“She was murdered, key body parts were taken away, the mattress was placed on top of her body, and a bed spread was placed over it by the now-fugitive culprit.”

According to him, the situation was made worse when it was found that the male guest’s phone number provided upon check-in was fraudulent.

SP Daniel Ndukwe, the spokesperson for the Enugu State Police Command, called the ritual claims false when reached.

Ndukwe claimed that although there was a murder case, the claims of a disfigured body were false.

He stated, “There was never anything like that on her, like body parts missing or mutilation, not at all.”

She was obviously murdered, but it is completely untrue to say that there was a ceremony or that body parts were removed and sold.

“We suspect murder, but obviously not as par ritual, mutilation, and all that; everything is intact.”
