The renowned IEC 61215 and IEC 61730 certifications for its photovoltaic (PV) modules mark a major turning point in the clean energy path of Auxano Solar, one of Nigeria’s top solar panel assemblers.
These certifications, which were given by the internationally renowned testing and certification organization TÜV Rheinland, attest to the fact that Auxano’s solar panels satisfy strict international requirements for performance, durability, and safety.
The Global Energy Alliance for People and Planet (GEAPP) provided venture-building support in collaboration with the All On Hub, which enabled the accreditation procedure.
With this assistance, Auxano was able to further its goal of providing dependable, high-quality solar solutions, improve its technical and operational capabilities, and successfully complete the challenging certification procedure.

According to Eboumbou, the accomplishment is a watershed for Nigeria’s renewable energy industry since it confirms the caliber and viability of domestically produced solar technology.
“This certification strengthens trust in Nigeria’s clean energy capabilities and makes Auxano Solar the first Nigerian solar panel assembler to meet these international standards, paving the way for utility-scale projects and export opportunities.”
Chuks Umezulora, the CEO of Auxano Solar, spoke about the accomplishment and conveyed his delight in the company’s advancement and its implications for the energy industry as a whole.
“Auxano Solar takes pride in being the first domestic producer to have its solar panels certified by TÜV. This certification is a major step toward establishing confidence in Nigerian-made panels. Our goal is for Nigerian cables to be as well-known as Nigerian solar panels.

Additionally, the accreditation puts Auxano Solar in a strategic position to support high-impact energy access projects like the Distributed Access via Renewable Energy Scale-up (DARES) program and the Nigeria Electrification Project (NEP).
By 2030, 300 million Africans are expected to be electrified thanks to these programs, which are funded by the World Bank, the African Development Bank (AfDB), GEAPP, the Rockefeller Foundation, and Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL).
Nearly 15 megawatts of solar panels have been distributed throughout Nigeria by Auxano Solar since it started operations in 2016.
