Nyesom Wike, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister’s Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications, has questioned former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s fixation on becoming Nigeria’s president.
Olayinka claims that Atiku is acting as though a doctor had prescribed him the presidency and that things will happen to him if he is not elected as Nigeria’s leader in the end.
“The bad apple in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is Atiku,” he said.
According to reports, Olayinka asked new questions regarding Atiku’s interest in the presidency during a Channels Television interview on Thursday.
He claimed that Atiku’s desire to become president caused him to work against the PDP in Lagos State in 2003 while serving as vice president, which allowed anti-party activities to occur within the party.

“The only thing that interests Alhaji Atiku Abubakar is becoming President of Nigeria, and I’m starting to wonder if a doctor prescribed ‘presidency’ for Atiku so that something will happen to him if he doesn’t become President,” Wike’s assistant said.
Hours after Atiku formally declared his departure from the PDP on Wednesday, Olayinka submitted his application.
In a letter addressed to the PDP Chairman of Jada 1 ward, Jada LGA, Adamawa State, Atiku announced his intention to depart from the main opposition party.
Atiku’s media adviser, Paul Ibe, asserted that those opposed to his political aspirations purposefully leaked the letter announcing his resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), rather than it being formally issued.
Hours after former President Muhammadu Buhari’s funeral, Ibe reportedly made the revelation on Wednesday night in an interview with Arise News in response to criticism about Atiku’s departure from the PDP.
