Nigerian entertainer Debo Adedayo, better known by his stage as Mr. Macaroni, has taken issue with Abike Dabiri-Erewa, the chairperson of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission, over her response to Fuji musician Kwam1’s apology for an airport disturbance.
According to Macaroni, Dabiri-Erewa’s response to the incident was to acknowledge the apology, which was seen unacceptable and a risky precedent.
The skitmaker contended that her position implied that misconduct could be absolved with a straightforward explanation and there would be no lasting repercussions.
Insisting that those responsible for humiliating her should be prosecuted, Macaroni likened the case to the quick incarceration of a woman engaged in a recent Ibom Air incident.
He said that Nigeria’s justice system was unfair because of the difference in how the two instances were handled.
He insisted that charges be brought against everyone who blocked the plane or posted the woman’s nudity online.

Festus Keyamo, the Minister of State for Labor, was also urged by Macaroni to pursue legal action and go beyond remarks made on social media.
He questioned why some people were swiftly imprisoned for less serious offenses while others seemed to get away with blocking a plane’s flight.
“It seems that justice in Nigeria depends on who is involved in the case,” he said in closing, accusing the authorities of administering the law unevenly.
He wrote: “I just wanted to express that this is really disgusting, Ma. You have no right to be in a public position. Your tweet has created a very risky precedent. You have conveyed to Nigerians that committing a crime is acceptable and that you can release yourself from punishment by apologizing.
