Monday Okpebholo, the governor of Edo State, and Otote Famous, a PDP leader in Ovia North-East Local Government Area, have expressed regret over the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System’s (BVAS) failure during the state’s senatorial and Federal House of Representatives by-elections.
Both were interviewed separately shortly after casting their ballots at Ekiadolor Primary School in Ovia North-East Local Government Area and Ward 2, Unit 1 of Udomi Primary School in Esan Central.
According to Okpebholo, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) was generating needless delays with its BVAS machines.
“I just cast my ballot. You can see how frustrated you are. The BVAS is simply too sluggish. The accreditation process is extremely drawn out. In my opinion, INEC should investigate this. “I am receiving positive vibes so far,” he remarked.

Famous bemoaned the fact that if INEC does not act quickly to bring the BVAS under control, more voters will lose their power.
