Jalingo, a Taraba State University (TSU) 100-level student, was discovered dead at her boyfriend’s apartment on Friday.
The victim, identified as Comfort Jimtop, was a student of mass communication from Taraba State’s Takum Local Government Area.
Empty bottles of alcohol were reportedly found next to the bed where she lay when her body was found in the afternoon.
According to sources, her boyfriend was one of 15 tenants living in the compound where the incident occurred. Following the finding, all of the residents reportedly left the residence right away.

The boyfriend, Emmanuel Shata, and other renters are being sought after, according to ASP Leshen James, the Police Public Relations Officer in Taraba, who confirmed the development.
When our men got to the house, no one was there. James informed reporters that the house had been abandoned by the boyfriend and other renters.
He also mentioned that the cause of Comfort’s death was being investigated.
The boyfriend and the escaping renters are being sought after by us. “A comprehensive inquiry will be conducted to ascertain the cause of the incident,” James stated.
