The Federal Capital Territory’s (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, reaffirmed Wednesday that the capital city would change before President Bola Tinubu’s term ends.

According to Wike, the FCT will be able to compete with other cities worldwide before Tinubu’s term is over thanks to its road networks and other essential facilities.

During the flagging off ceremony for the construction of the three-span bridge that will connect Ring Road 2 to the FCT Fire Service Station in Kaura District, he spoke.

“I’ve stated previously that the Renewed Agenda hopes Abuja will be a different place before the first term of Mr. President ends,” Wike remarked. Abuja will face competition from cities around the globe.

In order to make Abuja safe, the Minister also praised the area council chairs and security agencies.

“I want to thank the security agencies for their efforts to keep us safe in FCT. “I am grateful to the Chairman of the Area Council for providing us with all the support we need,” he stated.

The “greater beneficiaries of all these things we are doing” are the Kwali, Kuje, AMAC, Bwari, and Gwagwalada local councils, according to Wike.

The only individuals who have not gained as much as they have are Abaji, but things will improve for them. “The person who thinks last thinks best,” he continued.
