The controversial billboard in Iwo town that features President Bola Tinubu and Governor Adeleke has caused tensions between the Ademola Adeleke-led government and the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Osun State.
The billboard that read “Continuity of Progress” and was credited to a group known as the “Osun Leaders of Thought” was known to have been put up early on Wednesday morning.
Both President Tinubu and Governor Adeleke are depicted on the billboard.
APC’s Director of Media and Information, Kola Olabisi, responded by calling the billboard a phony political ploy.
Olabisi also criticized the billboard’s placement, saying it was intended to imply that the president and Governor Adeleke share political views.
This is an overreaction to the ridiculous game of dirty politics.
“The sponsorship of the fraudulent billboard could not have been justified in any way,” he stated in a statement issued on Thursday.
The show, which he described as an act of political heresy and a nose and eye pain, is vehemently condemned by the APC, he continued.

Unnamed players allegedly planned the effort to wrongly associate President Tinubu with the state government led by the PDP, according to the APC.
In response, Olawale Rasheed, the governor’s spokeswoman, charged that the APC was experiencing an integrity issue and was uneasy about the governor’s increasing popularity.
“The opposition is currently fumbling for words.” The wave of cross-party support for Governor Adeleke has left the opposition perplexed, Rasheed stated.
He cited recent successes of the Adeleke government as reasons for the APC’s uneasiness, such as a collaboration on cultural tourism at the British Museum and commercial ties through the Nigeria-UK Chamber of Commerce.
He cited federal and non-governmental organization endorsements as signs of growing support and charged the APC of disseminating false information and failing to face the facts of its deteriorating reputation.
Thus, the opposition is out of control and shouting over billboards, Rasheed said.
