Godswill Akpabio, the Senate President, led a group of senators on a condolence visit to the family of the late Senator Barinada Mpigi, who died in a London hospital last week.
Rivers South East Senatorial District residents were represented in the National Assembly by Senator Mpigi.
Akpabio expressed profound grief and regret at the passing of the former lawmaker during the visit, characterizing Senator Mpigi’s passing as a terrible loss to the National Assembly and the country as a whole.
