ADC chairman Rotimi Amaechi has backed Nasir El-Rufai, the former governor of Kaduna State, for his remarks regarding the eavesdropping of National Security Adviser (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu’s phone conversations.
After tapping Ribadu’s phone, El-Rufai reportedly acknowledged that he and others had listened in on his discussions. This action has been widely criticized by the president and other sources.
Amaechi responded in an Eagle Media interview on Tuesday, saying that El-Rufai is unable to tap the NSA’s phone.
He accuses Ribadu of working against the opposition parties and for his own benefit in the run-up to 2027, claiming that the NSA’s office is in charge of monitoring calls.
“I doubt that El-Rufai claimed to have hacked NSA Nuhu Ribadu’s phone,” he stated. He lacks the capability to do so.
The office of the NSA is the one that is taking our calls. Everyone is being arrested by Ribadu. He is organizing two elections.
Both for Tinubu in the 2027 presidential race and for himself in 2031, he is making plans.
“All he is doing is organizing opposition parties to the ADC. He owns a phony ADC. Simply appear in court; he has quite a few ADC cases involving young lads for whom he has purchased automobiles.
The man needs to take a nap. He is squandering his time if he believes that accurate elections won’t be held in 2027. His security work should be his primary priority.
