Before the party’s primary elections on October 27, former lawmaker Bimbo Daramola, who represents Ekiti North Federal Constituency 1, stated that the state’s governor, Biodun Oyebanji, is not deterred by Kayode Ojo, a fellow candidate for the All Progressive Congress (APC).
According to him, the rumor that Oyebanji disqualified local government chairmen and cabinet officials from hosting Kayode Ojo and other candidates in their communities because the governor was a Democrat is not true.
Daramola told reporters in Ado-Ekiti that Oyebanji had just voiced his opinions, and that the governor was entitled to contextualize his views on any matter.
Daramola claimed that there is no crisis inside the APC despite the persistent division within the party, pointing out that the current governor would win the primary without any problems.
Regardless of whether the party chooses to hold a direct or indirect primary election, he firmly stated that the governor has all the necessary skills to defeat other candidates when asked whether primary election style could work best for Oyebanji.
He also chastised those who criticized the governor for bringing a large group of interested parties to the APC Secretariat in Abuja to turn in his nomination form, claiming that the state’s leader is a beloved incumbent governor rather than a lone marauder.

He declared, “Oyebanji is not nervous or apprehensive about anyone. My brother and friend, Kayode Ojo, is well-aware of himself if you’re referring to him in this context. He informed you that he wanted to help the people of Ekiti.
As a friend, I don’t want to discuss Kayode too much, though. We have a great relationship, so I’m not talking as if I don’t know him; I have a great deal of respect for him.
Kayode Ojo will receive the same respect from me as Governor Biodun Oyebanji did when he was merely an audience member, but I shall speak to the facts in this instance.
