Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s Special Assistant, Demola Olarewaju, criticized President Bola Tinubu for appointing Bianca Ojukwu as Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, describing it as a last-ditch effort to win over the South-East.

Bianca is the widow of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu, the former president of Biafra.

The latest government’s action was rejected by Olarewaju as a ruse to rig the 2027 elections. Bianca’s appointment, he continued, would not influence local voters.

Seven new ministers were appointed in Tinubu’s cabinet reshuffle on Wednesday, including Dr. Jumoke Oduwole (Industry, Trade and Investment), Muhammadu Dingyadi (Labour & Employment), Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu (State Foreign Affairs), and Dr. Nentawe Yilwatda (Humanitarian Affairs and Poverty Reduction).

The others are Dr. Suwaiba Ahmad (State Education), Yusuf Ata (State, Housing and Urban Development), and Idi Mukhtar Maiha (Livestock Development).

But in a social media message, Olarewaju charged Tinubu with putting power ahead of sincere connections. He questioned whether Tinubu’s recent appointments were sincere.

What he said:

No sensible Obidient voter in the SE will vote for BAT on Bianca Ojukwu’s behalf since she has no electoral significance.

However, her nomination is a political ploy to gain favor while Tinubu makes other election-related steps.

First and foremost, realize that Tinubu is nothing more than a political figure. Power is at the heart of all he does. He will have power if he rejects the subsidies in 2012. It’s for power if he maintains it in 2024. To appease Yoruba ethnocentrists, he can say “Yoruba Ronu,” but if needed, he can also add “One Nigeria.” Unless there is some political advantage or leverage to be obtained, I doubt that man has had even one true friendship in the last thirty years.

In the SE’s political structure, Bianca is a “nobody.” But keep in mind that the APC now holds governorships in two states in the Southeast, including Ebonyi, where Deputy Speaker Benjamin Kalu hails from, and Abia, where a Bola Tinubu University of Nigerian Languages may soon be established. All three senators are from Ebonyi, two are from Imo, and one is from Abia.

On the basis of “it is the turn of the South/let Tinubu have it if not Obi, but not a Fulani,” it should be noted that Bola Tinubu/APC received more votes in the SE than Atiku Abubakar/PDP.

Yoruba vs. Igbo’s current social media strategies also aim to instill ethnocentrism in the SE, which may cause SE votes to support an alternative candidate instead of joining Northern votes. To put it another way, the whole Yoruba vs. Igbo conflict on this site is actually meant to “show” the North that “Igbos are fighting Tinubu the same way they fought Buhari.” They are the aggressors who find the rest of us intolerable.

According to Tinubu, the North would prefer to vote for him and stay in power for four more years than to begin another “eight years of the South” with an Igbo candidate. That will be his primary campaign push in the North for 2027, but he will also implement restructuring in the South, and some people will find the tune more appealing if Nnamdi Kanu is allowed to join the chorus.

The reason Tinubu is in Aso Rock today is not because of the 36.6% of voters who supported him, but rather because 63% of voters did not cast a single ballot.

Therefore, the first of Tinubu’s three strategies for 2027 is to undermine a major party platform in order to avoid a North+SE alliance of voters (for example, by trashing the program or blackmailing one segment against another). 2. In order to undermine a possible North-South partnership, the SE will be courted with high-profile appointments and projects while the North will be told that “Igbos cannot be trusted” and the South that “Fulanis are coming again,” among other things. and 3. To ruthlessly and brazenly rig in every region of the South in order to win every state or attain a quarter, depending on the opposition’s permutations. For example, if Obi runs, they will allow him to receive 25% of the vote but not the majority. Tinubu will “win” every Southern state by rigging if he takes against a Northerner.

Only the extreme Northern voters can save us now that Wike, Akpabio, Oshiomhole, Orji Uzor Kalu, Benjamin Kalu, Uzodinma, Nwifuru, Umahi, and now Bianca Ojukwu are politically active in the SE/SS and a potential SE candidate is on the ballot.

Bianca is merely a component of a bigger scheme to offer an explanation for APCNEC (APC/INEC) rigging, therefore she is unlikely to influence any voters but won’t have to.

As long as he can oversee the ashes and derive personal benefit from them, Tinubu is indifferent to the death of Nigeria or Nigerians. His preference for politics over governance is a depressing observation, and a Tinubu second term is the only thing worse than a first term.

It is a patriotic national obligation to make sure he departs Aso Rock in 2027.
