Gunmen suspected to be bandits reportedly killed six persons in four communities of Kauru local government area of Kaduna State on Monday.

The terrorists also abducted 23 others in coordinated attacks in Sabon Gida Libere, Ungwan Ganye, Ungwan Nabara, and Kadi communities in the area.

Residents told journalists on Wednesday the attackers stormed the communities with sophisticated weapons and moved from house to house to pick the victims.

They also shot sporadically to scare the residents, many of whom sought refuge in the bush in the communities.

However, the state police command has not confirmed the incident at the time of filling this report.
