Nollywood actor and politician Kenneth Okonkwo has charged that the government of the All Progressives Congress (APC) purposefully withholds a number of facts from Nigerians.
According to reports, Okonkwo said this in an interview with Channels Television’s “Sunrise Daily” program.
The APC won five of the six Area Councils in the recently finished Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Area Council elections, according to Kenneth, who also said the elections were held under an unidentified law.
Nigerians shouldn’t be swayed by the ruling party’s actions, the head of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) said, calling it questionable.
The gazetted copy of the Electoral Act 2026 has not been made public, which Kenneth Okonkwo further questioned.
“Nigerians should not be carried away by what this dubious APC is doing,” he stated. The Electoral Act 2026 has not yet been made available in gazetted copy.
Intentionally keeping everything a secret, the APC is preventing Nigerians from understanding until it is too late.
The FCT election was held in accordance with an unidentified statute. Furthermore, this goes against the law. A law must first be made public before it can be enforced against the populace.
Kenneth Okonkwo, meantime, recently claimed that the Edo State government or its operatives were responsible for the assassination attempt on Peter Obi, the Labor Party’s 2023 presidential candidate.
In Edo State, Peter Obi and other ADC chieftains were ambushed by gunmen, as was previously mentioned.
Speaking on Arise Television’s “Prime Time,” Okonkwo remembered a prior warning to Peter Obi from current Edo State Governor Monday Okpehbolo not to enter the state without his permission.
