The families devastated by a terrible traffic tragedy in Okunchi, Adavi Local Government Area, have received help and condolences from the Kogi State Government.
A tanker and a BUA Cement truck collided on Thursday, causing a major fire outbreak that destroyed cars, a house, and a mosque.
One cement truck driver became gravely ill as a result of the tragedy, which also claimed the lives of numerous others, including a motorcycle.
Gov. Ahmed Ododo’s message of support was delivered by the government team, which was led by Alh. Ahmed Oricha, State Project Coordinator of the Kogi AGILE Project, who visited the scene and victims in the hospital on Friday.
The delegation spoke with local authorities and citizens, who praised the government’s prompt action and continued efforts to build roads in order to avert further tragedies.
The neighborhood was reassured by the government of its dedication to enhancing road infrastructure and safety protocols.
