During Sunday night’s invasion on the Chikakore hamlet in Kubwa, Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, no less than 20 armed bandits abducted five civilians, including a whole family.
According to police sources on Monday, the attackers broke into the homes of their victims, including Adesiyan Akinropo, a Southwesterner, on the Health Center expansion axis in Chikakore at approximately 11 p.m.
“They abducted Akinropo, his wife, and their visitor, a son. To make five, the criminals next stole from a neighbor.
“The criminals also used the gun’s butt to damage a woman’s head. She was transported to the hospital due to her severe bleeding. The source revealed that the attackers had escaped when Byzahin division police officers eventually arrived on the scene.
It was discovered that the police officers and the local authorities were planned to meet on Monday to talk about the event.
The cops arrived an hour and a half after the event, according to one of the residents.
“The bandits are attacking Chikakore again. In this community, we require a separate police division. Though there hasn’t been a deployment yet, we already have land and a five-bedroom apartment built to house the cops.

“In the Sunday incident, the policemen came one and a half hours after the bandits had escaped with their victims,” she vented.
An attempt to contact the FCT police command for comment was unsuccessful since our reporter was unable to get through to Josephine Adeh, the command’s spokesman.
A group of robbers who had escaped from Katsina State’s Kankara Local Government Area set up explosives in the Chikakore settlement, which is only five kilometers from Kuchibuyi, in early January.
Authorities in Abuja say at least two people were killed in the sad explosion at an Islamic school in Kuchibuyi, which is located in the Bwari Area Council.
