The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) headquarters in Abuja’s Wuse district have been shut off by officials from the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA).

On Monday, the building was sealed about 2:05 PM.

FCTA officials were claimed to have been on the scene and instructed the security guard to consult with the appropriate authorities.

According to reports, the FCTA said this week that it will begin taking ownership of 4,794 properties that have been revoked due to non-payment of ground rent for durations ranging from 10 to 43 years, beginning Monday, May 26, 2025.

The administration stated that it intends to take possession of these properties regardless of ownership.

Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, the Director of Land Administration, Chijioke Nwankwoeze, and the Director of the Department of Development Control, Mukhtar Galadima, made the announcement at a news conference in Abuja on Friday.

Recall that on March 19, 2025, the administration revoked the Wadata Plaza, which houses the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) national secretariat in Wuse Zone 5, due to repeated failures to pay ground rents.
