Olufolake Abdulrazaq, the first lady of Kwara State, has been criticized by well-known Nigerian actress Bukola Arugba for her position on the state’s recent church attack.

Terrorists reportedly attacked a branch of Christ Apostolic Church, CAC, on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, during a live church program in Eruku, Ekiti LGA, Kwara state.

Along with the pastor, an unknown number of worshippers were kidnapped, and three individuals had died.

In a video posted on her Instagram page on Wednesday night, the actress responded to the unfortunate news by criticizing Olufolake Abdulrazaq, the first lady of Kwara State, for labeling the incident as an attempted attack even though it was captured in real time.

The actress, who is from the Eruku village, refuted Olufolake Abdulrazaq’s assertion by saying that three of her family members were kidnapped and are still with their captors.

Bukola Arugba addressed the First Lady in a video posted on her Instagram page, accusing her of downplaying the gravity of the incident and maintaining that the terrorists had successfully carried out the horrific attack.

“I read a press release on Kwara state First Lady’s page regarding the bandit attack in my home town Eruku Ekiti LGA Kwara state which totally contradicts the sad truth,” she wrote while pleading for assistance. “My people are personally involved in this. They were live streaming the viral video while the show was airing, and everyone saw it online.

“It was a successful attack rather than an attempt. After learning that it was an attempted attack and that no one had killed, I was in excruciating pain. However, there were hospital admissions, several kidnappings, and three verified deaths.

Titi Balogun, my aunt, and Ebenezer and Aina, two of my cousins, were kidnapped. Your page’s reports are untrue. It is completely at odds with what transpired,” she remarked.
