The call was made on Tuesday during the state’s Ardo-Kola local government council’s concluding ceremony for the 2025 Batch “C” Stream I Orientation Course.

Williams praised the corps members for their excellent behavior during the orientation, pointing out their self-control, deference, and zeal for camp activities. He emphasized that the service year presents chances for both individual and national development.

He urged the corps members to actively participate in community development initiatives that tackle pressing issues in fields including agriculture, education, health, the environment, and community empowerment.

Williams encouraged the corps members to approach their host communities with humility, respect, and a willingness to serve while acknowledging the governor of Taraba State’s support for the NYSC program.

“Taraba State is a place with many cultures, kind people, and a lot of potential. You represent the NYSC, and the Scheme’s ideals will be reflected in your behavior,” he stated.

He also advised corps members to put security first, stay away from needless dangers, abide by local laws and customs, and keep lines of communication open with employers, coworkers, and State NYSC management.

Williams continued, “Your safety remains our utmost priority,” encouraging them to make significant contributions and leave a positive legacy wherever they go.
