In a video posted on social media, Nigerian TikToker Muhammad Kabir was found guilty and given a prison sentence by a Federal High Court in Kaduna State for mistreating and disfiguring the Naira.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) reportedly revealed this in a statement on Thursday, stating that Kabir was taken into custody in the Tudun Wada region of Kaduna State on May 13, 2025.
According to the anti-graft agency, Kabir, who goes by @youngcee0066 on Instagram and TikTok, was accused of making offensive remarks in Hausa, stepping on Naira notes, and spraying them on the floor in a viral video. He also challenged the EFCC to arrest him at his known location.
Kabir was charged with one count of an amended charge after his arrest and was arraigned before Justice R.M. Aikawa of the Federal High Court, Kaduna.
Following Kabir’s guilty plea, M.U. Gadaka, the prosecution’s attorney, urged the court to find him guilty and sentence him appropriately.

Kabir was later given a six-month jail sentence by Justice Aikawa, with the Federal Government of Nigeria also facing the possibility of a ₦300,000 fine.
“That you Muhammad Kabir Sa’ad (a.k.a. youngcee0066)(M) sometime in 2025 in Kaduna within the jurisdiction of this Honourable Court did unlawfully mutilate Naira by stepping on the Naira banknotes while performing a social media video and posting the same on the internet, and thereby committed an offense contrary to Section 21(3) of the Central Bank of Nigeria Act, 2007 punishable under Section 21(1) of the same Act,” the charge stated.
