The Federal Government’s naira-for-crude program, according to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery, is responsible for the recent drops in petrol prices. The company says the agreement has allowed it to provide Nigerians with reasonably priced fuel while mitigating the effects of fluctuations in the world oil market.
According to a statement released on Monday, the company has been able to continuously lower the price of gasoline, which has provided some respite for customers at the pump, even in the face of growing global crude costs.
In a statement, Group Chief Branding and Communications Officer Anthony Chiejina made the news and emphasized the refinery’s dedication to keeping fuel costs steady and affordable.
“This has allowed us to continuously lower the price of petroleum products for the benefit of all Nigerians, and we are incredibly grateful to President Bola Tinubu for making this possible through the admirable naira-for-crude initiative,” the statement said.
As part of a larger effort to boost the Nigerian economy and lessen the financial burden on residents struggling with high energy expenses, Dangote Petroleum Refinery explained the decision to maintain constant gasoline rates.
The corporation claimed that its strategy “aligns with the objectives of the Federal Government’s ‘Nigeria First Policy,’ which promotes the prioritization of locally produced goods and services.”

As the largest single-train refinery in the world, the facility’s strategic significance was emphasized by the corporation, which also pointed out that domestic refining plays a significant role in economic stability, foreign exchange savings, and national energy security.
“This is in line with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, which aims to improve Nigerians’ quality of life and tackle the country’s economic issues,” the statement continued.
Customers, partners, and government organizations were among the stakeholders that the refinery reassured of its ongoing dedication to operational excellence and national service.
