Few days after announcing a reduction in the price of petrol, the Dangote Petroleum Refinery has reduced the prices of diesel and aviation fuel at its loading gantry.
The refinery reportedly cut the price of Automotive Gas Oil otherwise known as diesel by ₦100 per litre.
Punch reports that the product, which used to sell for ₦1,700 per litre, now sells at ₦1,600 per litre.
Aviation Turbine Kerosene (Jet Fuel) also recorded a decline of ₦100 from ₦1,550 per litre to ₦1,450 per litre.
The adjustment followed the announcement by the refinery of a N75 reduction in the price of Premium Motor Spirit, commonly known as petrol, at the gantry.
Petrol was cut from ₦1,250 per litre to ₦1,175 per litre.
The price cuts come as a result of the fall in crude prices across the globe in recent days after a relaxation of tensions in the Middle East.
Also, marketers of petroleum products have said the pump price of Premium Motor Spirit, popularly called petrol, may fall to about ₦1,200 per litre following a cut in ex-depot prices led by the Dangote Petroleum Refinery.
Following the reduction, other depot owners have also adjusted their prices to about ₦1,180 per litre, according to Petroleumprice.ng.
BUT filling stations have not yet passed the cut at the pump as many outlets were still selling petrol at about #1,280 per litre on Tuesday.
Marketers said the delay is to clear old stock bought at higher prices.
