According to the Federal Capital Territory Police Command, David Parradang, the former Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service, was discovered dead in an Abuja hotel room just hours after checking in with a female visitor.
The retired CG drove a black Mercedes Benz to check into the Joy House Hotel, Area 3 Junction, on Monday at approximately 12:00 PM, according to a statement released by the command on Tuesday by its spokesperson, Josephine Adeh.
After paying N22,000 for a room, Adeh claimed to have instructed hotel staff to accompany a female guest to his room.
She claims that the woman left the building at around 4:00 PM, while Parradang stayed in his room without leaving.
The FCT PPRO stated, “We wish to clarify the facts surrounding this incident to ensure accurate information is disseminated to the public,” in reference to previous reports of the kidnapping and subsequent murder of the retired Comptroller General of the Nigerian Immigration Service.
At around noon on March 3, 2025, Parradang pulled up in a black Mercedes Benz at the Joy House Hotel, Area 3 Junction. He paid N22,000 for a one-night stay when he checked into the hotel. Not long afterward, he instructed the hotel room staff to take a female visitor to his room. At approximately 4:00 PM on the same day, this woman departed the motel.
After the lady left, Parradang remained in his room. Concerned about his safety, a military officer acquaintance tracked him down to the hotel around 4:00 AM on Tuesday, March 4, 2025. When the hotel receptionist and the officer arrived, they went to his room and discovered Mr. Parradang dead, sitting in a chair.
The Durumi Police Station was notified right away, according to Adeh, and officers showed up to secure the area, take pictures, and gather evidence.

Officers quickly arrived at the site, secured the area, took pictures, and gathered all pertinent evidence to maintain the integrity of the crime scene after notifying the Durumi Police Station. According to her, the hotel staff is currently assisting the police with their investigations, and the body has been taken to the National Hospital for the required procedures.
In reaction to rumors that Parradang had been abducted and killed, Adeh denied the allegations and advised people not to disseminate unconfirmed information.
