Ezendigbo Ijegun/Ijeododo palace refutes claims of opposing Gov. Babajide Sanwoolu Re-election bid, Says they are partisan.

The Ezendigbo Palace chaperoned by HRM Eze Chika Nwokedi has repeatedly stated that the Ijegun Ijeododo palace is not a political separatist and would never be against Gov. Babajide Sanwoolu’s government as misinterpreted by an anonymous sender of a viral WhatsApp message suggesting a “work against” the present government of Lagos State.
Lagos State has given a good leverage for non indigenes enough for adequate support in its re-election bid and would not be condemned or denied the ample respect of the Ezendigbo Ijegun Ijeododo palace to work with the Lagos government not work against it.
To this regards, a disclaimer was released from the Ijegun Ijeododo palace by Chief Dr.Godwin Aneme the cabinet chairman to disclaim such message concocted to breach peace as it reads:

The Ezendigbo Palace of Ijeododo and Ijegun Kingdom on behalf of His Royal Highness Eze Dr. C.C. Nwokedi, the cabinet members and the entire Ndi-igbo Community of Ijegun and Ijeododo hereby disassociate itself from the viral WhatsApp message making round suggesting that the Palace of Ezendigbo Ijegun and Ijeododo is canvassing for votes against His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Lagos State, Dr. Jide Sanwo-Olu at forthcoming Gubernatorial elections scheduled for Saturday 11th March 2023.
The Palace is by no means partisan hence cannot canvass votes either for or against any aspirants in any election whatsoever. The Palace hereby unequivocally states that it didn’t appoint anyone to speak on its behalf on any political affair or in respect of any incident whatsoever either directly or indirectly.
The Palace of Ezendigbo of Ijegun/Ijeododo and its cabinet are made up of law abiding citizens of this country who would not engage in activities or make statements that would be inimical and threat to the peace of our community or anyone.
We therefore wish to reiterate that neither the Eze of Ijegun/Ijeododo nor its palace and cabinet members have authorized any person whatsoever to make statement on their behalf and therefore urge everyone to disregard the WhatsApp voicenote or any other message claimed to have emaneted from them.

Eze Dr. C.C. Nwokedi and his cabinet members therefore urge everyone to go about their legitimate business and freely go out on Saturday the 18th of March 2023 to cast their votes to any candidate of their choice for the Gubernatorial and State House of Assembly Elections.
We stand for peace and progress of our community and the State.
His Excellency Dr. Babajide Sanwoolu should disregard any of such information as it stands to be untrue and against the real purpose of solidarity.
