Super Eagles winger Alex Iwobi has declared he is looking forward to the start of the new season.
Iwobi, 27, was one of the top performers for the Whites last season, and has also starred for Marco Silva’s side in pre-season.
The former Arsenal player provided the assists for Emile Smith Rowe and Adama Traore as Fulham defeated Bundesliga club Hoffenheim 2-0 in a friendly over the weekend.
Iwobi is already buzzing ahead of the new season, as he hopes to provide many more assists even if he doesn’t get the chances to score himself.
“It’s good that we were able to get the result, get some minutes in the legs. I’m very tired right now but feeling sharp and ready for the season to start,” Iwobi told Fulham’s official website.

“If I can’t score at least I’m able to create chances for my team-mates and Smith Rowe and Adama Traore are going to put those chances away. It’s not just them – there are so many goal threats in this team.
“I played with Emile in the past, I know what kind of runs and qualities he can bring to the team. I’ve made him feel welcome – he’s scored two in two now – hopefully he can make it three in three against United!
“He’s a nice kid, he’s easy going, he’s always eager to learn, he hasn’t got an ego and he gets on with everyone. He makes it easy for us – it isn’t just his footballing ability, his personality makes him a great addition to the team.
“You can almost over hit a pass to Adama because he’s so quick. I don’t think he knows quite how quick he is. When have such a weapon on the pitch, you have to try and utilise it as much as you can.
“It was a great finish from him after running the length of the pitch to stay composed. It was good for him to get on the scoresheet and it will do him the world of good in terms of confidence.”
