For the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the schedule for the mop-up exams.

A statement issued on Sunday stated that 96,838 candidates have been rescheduled for the 2025 UTME mop-up exercise at 183 locations nationwide, with more candidates being placed on standby.

5,096 spill-over applicants and those who failed biometric verification during the main exercise would be covered in the mop-up exam, the board added.

Thanks to a special permission provided by JAMB, 91,742 candidates who missed any or both of the main and retake exams would also take the mop-up exams, the statement noted.
Therefore, starting on Monday, June 23rd, candidates have to begin printing their notification slips.

“The 2025 UTME mop-up exam has been allowed to be conducted on Saturday, June 28.

Those who failed biometric verification during the main exercise and the 5,096 spillover candidates will be accommodated in this test. Additionally, because of the specific dispensation offered to candidates who missed both the main and retake exams, 91, 742 individuals who missed either or both of the main and retake exams will also be allowed this chance, which is exclusive to the 2025 UTME. As a result, 96,838 applicants are being rescheduled for the 2025 mop-up exercise at 183 locations nationwide, while others are being held on standby, according to the announcement.
