Eight law schools have suspended admittance of applicants, according to the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
JAMB claims that this is taking place as a result of the Council of Legal Education (CLE) recently suspending the Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) program at the impacted universities for breaking regulatory processes.

The impacted universities were cited by JAMB spokesperson Dr. Fabian Benjamin as Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State; Redeemers University, Ede, Osun State; Bingham University, Karu, Nasarawa State; and Kwara State University, Malete, Ilorin.
Alex Ekwueme Federal University in Ndufu-Alike, Ebonyi State; Arthur Jarvis University in Akpabuyo, Cross River State; Taraba State University in Jalingo; and the Nigerian Police Academy in Wudil, Kano State, are the other schools impacted.
JAMB claims that the suspension of the Nigerian Police Academy will continue until the 2026–2027 session, whereas the suspension of seven other schools will only run until the 2025–2026 session.
According to Benjamin, “JAMB will not approve any admissions for candidates seeking to enrol in the Law program at the aforementioned universities for the 2025/2026 academic session.”
