According to reports, a lawyer named Mike Ofikwu was murdered by some unidentified gunmen in Otukpo town, Benue State.

Ofikwu was quickly taken to a nearby hospital, but when the doctors arrived, they pronounced him dead.
Catherine Anene, the spokesperson for the Benue State Police Command, revealed that an investigation is underway to find and understand the attackers involved in the event.
“This occurrence has been verified, and inquiries are still being conducted. In a succinct statement on Thursday, Anene said, “I offer my condolences to his family and friends and promise them that justice will be done.”
