Under a unique agreement known as the Visa Waiver Program (VWP), citizens of 43 nations can now enter the United States for up to 90 days without a visa.
It was acknowledged that before leaving on their trip, these citizens needed to fulfill specific requirements and receive approval via the Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA).
US Customs and Border Protection administers the ESTA online system, which establishes a traveler’s eligibility for visa-free travel under the VWP. Travelers must apply for ESTA in advance, and their stay cannot be longer than ninety days.
Nigeria, however, is not on the list of nations.
Both business and tourism can make advantage of the VWP.
Additionally, the US government stated that residents of a VWP nation will not be eligible for ESTA if
On or after March 1, 2011, you traveled to or were in North Korea, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, or Yemen.

1. On or after January 12, 2021, you traveled to or were in Cuba.
2. You are a dual citizen of Iran, Iraq, Sudan, Syria, North Korea, or Cuba.
3. You must apply for a regular B-1/B-2 tourist visa rather than using the VWP if any of the aforementioned circumstances apply to you.
