Kano Pillars technical adviser, Evans Ogenyi has questioned officiating in his team’s opening day 1-0 defeat to Abia Warriors.
Paul Samson’s lone strike earned Abia Warriors the maximum points against Kano Pillars in Umuahia on Sunday night.
Ogenyi admitted that the encounter was keenly contested by both teams.
“It was a keenly contested game from both teams but it was unfortunate that we lost the game,” Ogenyi stated in a post-match interview.
“It’s not in my character to query officiating but I will say we lost to questionable officiating.”
Kano Pillars will do battle with Wikki Tourists in their next fixture at the Sani Abacha Stadium.
