Troops of Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have killed more than 20 terrorists during a series of raids on their hideouts across the North East.
The week-long offensives, carried out between August 23 and August 30, also led to the arrest of several logistics suppliers and collaborators.
Arms, ammunition, and materials linked to bomb-making were also recovered.
According to a post shared on X by a security source on Tuesday, the operations were conducted in parts of Borno and Yobe States with support from the Air Component and local security groups.
“Among the items recovered were AK-47 rifles, Rocket Propelled Grenade tubes and bombs, large quantities of 7.62mm ammunition, and 242 bags of NPK fertiliser believed to be meant for making improvised explosive devices (IEDs).
“Troops also safely detonated explosives found during the operation,” Makama wrote
The coordinated efforts took place in Gujba, Gubio, Sabsawa, Whumtakum in Chibok Local Government Area, Mandarari in Konduga LGA, Gajigana in Magumeri LGA, as well as Konduga, Banki, and Loskori Kura in Mafa LGA.
