Bishop David Oyedepo, the General Overseer of the Living Faith Church Worldwide (also known as Winners Chapel), said on Sunday that God would punish bandits and their backers who are causing problems all over the country.
Oyedepo is said to have made the statement while talking about “Covenant Day of Vengeance” at the church’s main office in Ota, Ogun state.
Oyedepo said that in the next seven days, God will punish the people who are responsible for kidnappings and murders.
He also told Nigerians that they would hear “testimonies of vengeance” in the next week.
He said, “In the name of Jesus, I declare judgment on those who caused these tragedies and those who supported them.
“Unless I’m not sent, this will happen in the next seven days.”
Oyedepo also recently said that there are a lot of fraudsters in the church and everywhere else.
Oyedepo said this while talking about an encounter with someone who was said to be a fraudster.
During the midweek service, Oyedepo preached and said that a fraudster who pretended to be someone else and tried to steal money from victims was later found out.
Oyedepo said that people are using his pictures for scams and told his followers to be honest to avoid getting caught.
He said, “A while ago, someone said they were me and that I was asking for something.”
“My assistant called and the person on the other end said, “Can I talk to Bishop Oyedepo?” My assistant said, “Yes, you can talk to him.”
