According to an insider in the PDP, Sunday Ude-Okoye’s endorsement as the party’s secretary by the Board of Trustees (BoT) was one of the reasons Adolphus Wabara, the party’s chairman, was suspended.
According to reports, opposition members who were reportedly loyal to FCT Minister Nyesom Wike suspended Wabara on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, however, Abraham Amah, the chairman of the Abia PDP, declared that the BoT chairman had been suspended for allegedly supporting Abia State Governor Alex Otti.

If Wabara’s purported support for Otti’s reelection was the reason he hadn’t been sanctioned till 2023, the source asked Punch why.

According to the source, Wabara supported Otti’s 2027 run for governor and participated in anti-party activities in 2023. However, the source maintained that there was more to the story.

But there’s more to the story, the insider claimed. If that were the case, why wait until now?

Since Wabara advocates for justice and his group, the BoT, proclaimed Ude-Okoye to be the PDP’s legitimate secretary, I think that’s the true reason for his suspension. This is probably being orchestrated by Wike’s Anyanwu-supporting followers.

Anyanwu’s friend, Timothy Osadolor, the PDP National Deputy Youth Leader, supported the suspension of the BoT chair, claiming that wabara’s support for Otti’s reelection was well known.

Osafolor stated in an interview with the aforementioned media that “Wabara engaged in anti-party activities, which is known.” He stated that he would support Otti, a Labour Party member, in the 2027 elections. I believe that he and those like him ought to be held accountable by the Ikimi-led panel for their anti-party behavior.
