During a targeted operation in the Odogunyan neighborhood of Ikorodu, agents of the Lagos State Police Command have captured eight alleged members of a well-known cult and armed robbery gang.
According to a statement released by the Command, the Bullock Tactical Team conducted the operation in the early hours of Tuesday, October 15, 2025, in response to reliable information regarding the actions of local criminal elements.
The crew arrested eight people who were allegedly planning coordinated strikes after storming a suspected hideout at around 5:30 a.m.
Alimi Victor, Okiki Alufoge, Nurudeen Dolapo, Agboola Samuel, Fadiya Ayodele, Lawal Rasheed, Akerele Demilare, and Ayolade Victor were the names of the accused.
A battle axe, an assault knife, many charms, a Nigerian military camouflage suit, and counterfeit foreign currency totaling $3,000 in fictitious $100 bills were among the things recovered from the scene.
According to preliminary findings, Fadiya Ayodele admitted to being the head of the Odogunyan axis’ Eiye Confraternity. Additionally, he revealed that he had previously given a locally manufactured handgun to an off-the-leash individual named Adewunmi Annadex.
The pursuit of the escaping suspect and the recovery of the weapon are still underway, according to police officials.
The tactical team’s prompt action was praised by Commissioner of Police CP Olohundare Jimoh, who also reassured the citizens that the Command is unwavering in its commitment to upholding law and order throughout Lagos State.
