Qatar Airways has announced that it will begin twice-weekly flights to Tashkent, Uzbekistan, as part of its worldwide network. The maiden trip from Doha to Tashkent will take off on January 17, 2022, aboard an Airbus A320 aircraft with 12 Business Class seats and 120 Economy Class seats.
Passengers flying to and from Tashkent will be able to connect to over 140 destinations via Hamad International Airport in Doha, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, India, and the United States.

In 2022, Tashkent, Uzbekistan’s capital and the heart of the ancient Silk Road, will become Qatar Airways’ newest destination and the latest addition to its Asian network. It is Central Asia’s largest metropolis, with panoramic views, diverse cuisine, and a plethora of things to see and do.
Qatar Airways, a multiple award-winning airline, was named ‘Airline of the Year’ at the 2021 World Airline Awards, organized by Skytrax, an international air transport rating organization. In addition, Qatar Airways has earned the renowned 5-Star COVID-19 Airline Safety Rating from Skytrax, making it the first worldwide airline to do so.
This comes on the heels of Hamad International Airport (HIA) receiving the first Skytrax 5-Star COVID-19 Airport Safety Rating in the Middle East and Asia.
