Onyekachi Nwaebonyi, the Senate’s Deputy Chief Whip, has denied the allegations of sexual harassment against Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan of Kogi Central Sena accused Senate Akpabio of sexual harassment.
In an interview with Arise News on Monday, the Ebonyi North Senator claimed that Senator Natasha had made similar claims against former Governor Yahaya Bello and others.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) legislator claimed the Kogi Central Senator’s accusation was an attempt to tarnish the Senate President.
“The point we’re attempting to make here is that this is an outright lie. This is an attempt to undermine the Senate President. And it isn’t the first time. Just give me some time. This is not the first time the woman has done this. This is a woman who accused Yahaya Bello of sexual harassment. This is the same woman who accused Jonathan’s former media adviser, Reno Omokri, of sexual harassment. This is a woman I saw in a video yesterday accusing a minister of sexual harassment. Senator Natasha, are you the only woman in Nigeria? “What is wrong with you?,” Nwaebonyi inquired.
The Senate Deputy Chief Whip also stated that the frequent complaints of sexual harassment may dissuade women from participating in politics.
“Nigerian women should speak out against it. Let me tell you something. Senator Natasha is spoiling the game for Nigerian women seeking to enter politics,” he continued.
