Insecurity ranks first among the twelve reasons listed by former senator Shehu Sani, who represents the Kaduna Central Senatorial District, that compromise education in Northern Nigeria.
Senator Sani stated that there are significant obstacles due to instability, terrorism, and banditry, as well as inadequate infrastructure, in a confirmed Facebook post on Monday.

“Cultural and religious barriers, low funding, poverty, teacher shortages, child labor, discrimination against girls, low access to technology, health challenges, and the increasing number of people living with disabilities, as well as the systemic retention of the street Almajiri system, ignore, misplace, and mismanage resources by successive governments,” he said.
These problems need immediate response, he continued.
