Nigerian musician Primeboy, whose real name is Owodunni Ibrahim, has made a heartfelt public plea for the burial of his close friend, the late Ilerioluwa Aloba, also called Mohbad, almost three years after his passing.

Recall that Mohbad passed away under dubious circumstances on September 12, 2023, and has been in the mortuary ever since.

His remains have been at the morgue since September 21, 2023, when he was first laid to rest. On September 21, he was unearthed so that an autopsy could be performed on him.

Joseph Aloba, the deceased’s father, has requested that the singer’s ashes not be interred until a DNA test is completed to determine the genuine paternity of Liam, the singer’s sole child with his wife, Omawunmi.

Primeboy urged the public, the government, and Mohbad’s family to make sure the singer’s remains are interred in a widely shared video.

We have been without Mohbad for about three years,” he remarked. His remains remain in the mortuary. Please, let’s bury our brother. I’m pleading with the government, society, and family. He merits a respectable funeral.

Meanwhile, an Ikorodu High Court has mandated that three distinct DNA tests be carried out overseas in order to establish Liam’s paternity.

After initial preparations to perform a DNA test failed, the court issued the new order, delaying the resolution of the dispute between Mohbad’s widow and his relatives.

Mohbad’s father, Joseph Aloba, came in court with his attorney, Oladayo Ogungbe, who clarified that problems with the testing center’s appropriateness prevented the first court-approved procedure from moving forward.

To ensure faith in the conclusion and prevent future conflicts, Ogungbe informed the court that a new arrangement had been reached.
