Omoyele Sowore, the former African Action Congress (AAC) presidential candidate, has given an explanation for why he is unable to work with Peter Obi, the 2023 Labour Party presidential contender.
He emphasized that Obi is simply better at “packaging,” saying that he is no different from other dishonest politicians.
According to Sowore, he had been running for president for a long time before Obi became well-known across the country.
He stated, “Before you discovered Peter Obi, I was already running for President,” in a recent Honest Bunch Podcast episode. These yells concerning Peter Obi… He simply packages well. Anyone can do it.

“I will be betraying my principles if I join [form a coalition with] Peter Obi.” In other words, I will never back a Nigerian leader who has already held public office and whom I believe is underperforming.
For the same reason, I never would have partnered with Atiku. And in 2019, when I was running for president, the Peter Obi you mention was Atiku’s vice presidential candidate.
