Gunmen suspected to be bandits in the early hours of Tuesday kidnapped the manager of TAJ Bank in Zamfara State, Mansur Kaura.
Eyewitnesses told journalists the bandits stormed the victim’s house at about midnight and whisked him to an unknown destination.
The spokesman for the state police command, Yazid Abubakar, confirmed the abduction.
He said operatives from the command’s tactical unit were on the trail of the kidnappers and would rescue the victim unhurt.
