It was discovered that the dog owner failed to properly lock in his canines, which escaped and assaulted the estate security guard.
SP Benjamin Hundeyin, the command’s spokesperson, confirmed the dog owner’s incarceration in a post on Wednesday using the verified X handle @benHundeyin.
He said the incident occurred on Tuesday at Pinnock Estate in Ilasan, Lekki.
“The police have caught the owner of the canines following the tragic mauling of a security guard to death by three dogs in Pinnock Estate, Ilasan, Lekki on November 5.
“The command also confiscated the dogs pending the outcome of discreet investigations that have since begun,” according to the photographer.
According to him, the state’s Commissioner of Police, CP Olanrewaju Ishola, has guaranteed the public of justice.
“CP Ishola assures residents of the estate and the entire people of the state that the ongoing investigations will be brought to a conclusive end and that justice will be served as appropriate,” the minister stated.
