Aminu Shehu, a supporter of Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has refuted allegations on social media that the Senate Committee on Water Resources Chairman said President Bola Tinubu is “caged” inside the Presidential Villa.
In a statement released on Thursday, Shehu characterized the widely shared assertion as untrue and an intentional attempt to deceive the people and incite needless political unrest.
After the One Nigeria Project Conference in Abuja, Shehu reportedly confirmed that the statements attributed to the former governor of Zamfara State were made up.
“A widely circulated social media report on Wednesday falsely alleged that former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, said President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is ‘caged’ inside the Presidential Villa,” the statement stated.
“It has been verified that the report, which surfaced during the One Nigeria Project Conference in Abuja, is false. The release was written off by many close to the senator as an intentional attempt to mislead the public and create needless political conflict.
In actuality, Senator Yari made statements that called for unity among Nigerians and praised President Tinubu. Yari emphasized the President’s commitment to promoting national development and reestablishing stability.
He claimed that because President Tinubu is committed to advancing Nigeria, he has been working nonstop and receiving thorough briefs from all important sectors of the country. Yari claims that the President is deeply involved in the problems facing the country and dedicated to coming up with solutions that would help all of its residents. Yari continued by saying that many of Nigeria’s issues are self-inflicted and need for cooperation to solve.
“This is because so much chaos was started by us ourselves, but we need to come together,” he stated, emphasizing that the only way to truly advance the country is via unity.
He disclosed that he personally told President Tinubu that he would be attending the conference: “I was with the President in the night, and I told him that I would be here, and if he has time, he should watch what we are doing.” Furthermore, I believe that this organization need to receive assistance.
“Senator Yari also addressed the negative rhetoric frequently directed at the President, highlighting the fact that many of the criticisms originate from people who ought to know better.” The elite is an issue. There are those that mistreat Tinubu. He stated, “You are abusing him because you know the problem more than the truth,” emphasizing the need for integrity, accountability, and patriotism to advance the nation.
Yari came to the conclusion that attaining “One Nigeria” necessitates cooperation, a common commitment to growth and progress, and unity of purpose. The misleading assertions that are making the rounds online contrast sharply with his words.
