President Bola Tinubu has received advice from Chijioke Ihunwo, the chairman of the Obio/Akpo local government area in Rivers State, to exercise caution when dealing with Nyesom Wike, the minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).
The former governor of Rivers State, according to Chijioke Ihunwo, intends to run against President Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election.
In a video he uploaded to his X handle on Thursday, Ihunwo claimed that Wike would trick the President by promising to stay in the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for his benefit.

Wike would treat President Tinubu the same way he treated former Governor Rotimi Amechi, who introduced him to politics, he further claimed.

Nigerians should be aware that Wike intends to run for president in 2027. Wike should therefore raise concerns for Mr. President.

One of his plans is to tell the president, “I want to stay in the PDP. Let me hold the structure for you.” In order to succeed Mr. President, he is then conducting a back-up investigation. Since he did it to Amechi, he can do it to anyone because that is his way of life.

So, I want to ask Mr. President to be extremely cautious about FCT Minister Nyesom Wike,” Ihunwo stated.
