Nigerian activist, critic, and social media influencer Martins Vincent Otse popularly known as Very Dark Man (VDM) has pleaded with singer Davido to affect Dammy Krane’s release.

Very Dark Man submitted the request after disclosing information on interaction at a police station on Instagram on August 28, which has since generated a lot of public interest.

Very Dark Man wrote about how, during a recent visit to the station, he unexpectedly met Dammy Krane in police custody in a photo uploaded on his official Instagram profile.

He said that he had visited the police station to express his gratitude to the cops who had helped him out on the job.

While he was there, a fellow prisoner told him that one of the cells contained a celebrity who had dreadlocks.

VDM was curious and asked to see the person, only to be shocked to learn that it was none other than Dammy Krane.

He wrote; “I wasn’t expecting to see him,” VDM stated, adding that their relationship had been tense due to past insults from Krane. When VDM asked Krane why he was in custody, Krane responded that he had been arrested by Nigerian music star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido.

According to him, Krane claimed, “It was Davido who put me here.” VDM then confronted Krane about his previous allegations against Davido, saying, “Why won’t he? You constantly attack him and his family unprovoked and without proof. You started off by saying that he owed you money and changed his name from OBO to OB owe, without proof.”

However, VDM used the medium to beg Davido to effect the release of his colleague in a heartfelt message and also begged him to give Dammy Krane a second chance.

“David Adeleke, Davido, you be my brother, you be my guy, and one thing I know about you is that you’re a jolly good fellow and you’re not an oppressor,” VDM began in his heartfelt appeal.

He continued, “I want to beg you, this is not who you are, this is not your personality… abeg! Give this guy a second chance,” he begged.
