The governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, has reaffirmed his support for President Bola Tinubu.
At the groundbreaking of the 65-kilometer, three-lane dual carriageway in Nsit Atai, which is a component of the ambitious 750-kilometer Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, Governor Eno reportedly rallied support for President Tinubu’s second term bid on Tuesday.
In a succinct statement on his 𝕏 on Wednesday, the governor of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) clarified that he supports Tinubu in order to see the projects he began during his first term finished.

I had the privilege of representing President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, at the flag-off of the 65-kilometer, three-lane dual carriageway in Nsit Atai yesterday (Tuesday), which is a component of the ambitious 750-kilometer Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway. Thank you so much, Mr. President, for this ambitious and inspiring project. Akwa Ibom is appreciative to be a recipient of this transformative infrastructure because it is a coastal state. Large-scale economic prospects, previously unreachable communities, increased interstate commerce, and job creation for our citizens will all be made possible by this route. I assured our young people that compensation would be given as soon as the Federal Government received funds, and I urged them to keep the calm and assist the contractors.
“Our administration will keep working with the federal government to make sure this project is finished on schedule. President Tinubu has our unwavering support because the hand that initiated this effort must complete it. May God give him the courage to carry out this ambitious plan. Akwa Ibom State is blessed by God.
